Acuvue Oasys with Transitions (r) is now available in spherical powers, and free to try for our patients. Walk outside without light sensitivity and have the convenience of not having to grab your sunglasses. It is suggested you give these lenses several consecutive days before the effect is most beneficial. Similar to photochromic lenses for your glasses, there can be an initial break-in period before the colour change takes off..

Vocational or task-specific progressives can remedy this problem for people who cannot look towards the lower portions of their lens at the screen.
Ask for UV protection, something standard on prescription, and non prescription lenses, if you are getting your sunglasses from a reputable source, you shouldn't have to ask, however however, many clear lenses come stock with 100% UV protection these days, and with the added benefit of a blue light filter, your eyes will thank you.
